6 Health Resolutions for Those Over 65

The new year is in full swing, and many of us have set goals and resolutions to improve our health and well-being. For seniors, making health resolutions can be especially beneficial, helping to enhance their quality of life, maintain independence, and manage or prevent chronic conditions. Here are some health resolutions tailored for seniors that can lead to a healthier, more vibrant year ahead.

1. Stay Active

Physical activity is crucial at any age but becomes even more important as we grow older. Regular exercise can help seniors maintain their mobility, reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes, and improve mental health. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity per week, such as walking, swimming, or cycling. Incorporating strength training exercises twice a week can also help maintain muscle mass and bone density, reducing the risk of falls and fractures.

2. Eat a Balanced Diet
